Fee Policy
Version 2.0 — 19 August 2026 · Annex 1 to the Gamma Earth License Agreement
This Fee Policy (the "Fee Policy") supplements the License Agreement with regard to the financial terms and conditions applicable to the License Fees for the use of the Software and the Services. Capitalised terms used herein have the meaning given to them in this Fee Policy or, where not defined herein, the meaning set forth in the License Agreement.
This Fee Policy supersedes and replaces all prior versions. It is published on the Platform and incorporated by reference into the License Agreement as part of Gamma Earth's Policies.
1. Key Definitions
- "Credit" means the unit of account used to purchase and measure processing capacity on the Platform. Credits are purchased via a Top Up and are consumed each time a processing job is executed.
- "Top Up" means a one-time purchase of a defined quantity of Credits.
- "Region" means a geographic pricing zone that determines the number of Credits consumed per km² of processing, as set out in Section 4 and in the Pricing Regions schedule.
- "Professional" means the account status of any User who has purchased Credits via a Top Up.
- "Enterprise" means the account arrangement for Users requiring large Credit volumes or custom commercial terms, as described in Section 3.3.
- "License Fees" means all amounts payable by the Licensee to Gamma Earth under the License Agreement, including all Top Up purchases.
2. Credits
Processing capacity on the Platform is purchased and measured in Credits. Credits are acquired through a Top Up and are drawn down as processing jobs are executed. The number of Credits consumed by a job depends on the area processed and the applicable Region (see Section 4).
Credits have no monetary value outside the Platform, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for cash. All amounts paid for Credits constitute License Fees under the License Agreement.
3. Top Up Packages and Pricing
3.1 Professional — Credit Packages
Any User may purchase Credits via a Top Up. Purchasing a Top Up gives the account Professional status. The following packages are available:

Prices are per Credit and in EUR, exclusive of taxes. The equivalent processing area depends on the Region (see Section 4).
3.2 Custom Top Up
Users may also purchase a Custom Top Up of any quantity, priced at the rate corresponding to the volume purchased. Where a Custom Top Up reaches the volume of a named package, the corresponding package price per Credit applies.
3.3 Enterprise
Users requiring 100,000 or more Credits, or custom commercial terms, priority support, or bespoke development, are served under an Enterprise arrangement, priced on demand. Enterprise arrangements are agreed directly with Gamma Earth and may be governed by a separate Order Document or addendum. To discuss Enterprise terms, contact info@gamma.earth.
4. Regional Credit Consumption
The number of Credits consumed per km² of processing depends on the Region in which the Area of Interest (AOI) is located. The applicable Region is determined by the country in which the AOI is located, as set out in the Pricing Regions schedule.

As an illustration, 100 Credits process 100 km² in Region A, approximately 133 km² in Region B, and 200 km² in Region C. Credit deductions are rounded up to the nearest whole Credit. The Platform displays the expected deduction before a job is confirmed.
Gamma Earth reserves the right to reassign countries between Regions, with advance notice to registered Users, by updating the Pricing Regions schedule.
5. Credit Validity and Expiry
- Purchased Credits are valid for twenty-four (24) months from the date of purchase. Unused Credits expire at the end of this period without refund.
- Credits cannot be transferred between accounts or exchanged for cash.
- Upon account closure or termination, unused Credits are forfeited without refund, subject to any mandatory statutory rights.
6. Purchasing and Payment
6.1 How to Purchase
Credits may be purchased either directly from Gamma Earth (for example, by contacting info@gamma.earth and settling the corresponding invoice) or, where available, through the Platform's online checkout. The available purchasing methods are indicated on the Platform at the time of purchase.
6.2 Prices and Currency
All prices are denominated in Euro (EUR) unless stated otherwise in an Order Document or agreed separately in writing. Gamma Earth reserves the right to modify Credit prices and package compositions at any time, with advance notice to registered Users. Price changes apply to new Top Up purchases only and do not affect Credits already purchased.
6.3 Advance Payment
All Top Up purchases are payable in full in advance. Credits are activated in the account upon receipt and confirmation of payment.
6.4 Payment Methods
Gamma Earth accepts the payment methods indicated on the Platform or in the Order Documents. Online card payments, where offered, are processed by Stripe, Inc. Gamma Earth does not store full payment card details.
6.5 Taxes
All prices are exclusive of taxes. The Licensee is responsible for all applicable taxes, including VAT, sales tax, and similar charges. Where reverse-charge VAT applies, the Licensee is responsible for accounting for VAT accordingly. The Licensee is responsible for providing an accurate company legal address and VAT registration details at the time of purchase.
6.6 Late Payment
Where an invoiced payment is not received within thirty (30) days of the due date, Gamma Earth may: suspend the provision of all or part of the Services; terminate the License Agreement; charge interest at 5% per annum on the outstanding amount; charge a reminder fee of CHF 50 per payment reminder issued; and/or engage a debt collection agency, with associated costs borne by the Licensee.
6.7 No Offset
The Licensee is not authorised to set off its claims against those of Gamma Earth.
6.8 Refunds
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all Top Up purchases are non-refundable. This does not affect any mandatory statutory rights the Licensee may have.
7. Miscellaneous
7.1 Amendments
Gamma Earth may amend this Fee Policy at its sole discretion and at any time. New versions are announced on the Platform. Amendments take effect immediately for new Licensees and at the start of the next billing cycle for existing Licensees, unless stated otherwise. Continued use of the Services after a new version takes effect constitutes acceptance of the amended Fee Policy.
7.2 No Waiver
Any failure by Gamma Earth to enforce any right or provision of this Fee Policy will not constitute a waiver of those rights.
7.3 Severability
If any provision of this Fee Policy is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
7.4 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Fee Policy is governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Fee Policy is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the city of Lausanne, Switzerland.
